I am always searching for new projects and inspiration. A lot of my images fall into the nature / landscape / architecture / macro / product-shot categories. I think these are all fine areas of photography and I love each one of them but I want to try something new. I want to start a series of editorial portriats – portraits that tell a story, are informal, and highlight a person and their life. Here’s what I’m looking for:
- Service men/women – military, police, fire, search and rescue, etc.
- Atheletes – swimmimg, football, soccer, dancing, etc.
- Artists – chefs, musicians, blacksmiths, etc.
- Tattoos – anyone on either side of the gun. Tattoo artist? Perfect! Have some cool ink already? Perfect! Getting some new ink? Even better!
- Hobbyists – are you passionate about something? Are you restoring an old car in your garage? Do you have a workshop where you make birdhouses, carve wood, weld, make your own beer, etc.
- “Working” people – do you have your own garage or bakery? Are you a teacher or professor?
- Scientists – well, this one is close to my heart. Are you working on something interesting? Do you work in a lab? In the field?
Unfortunately, I don’t know too many people in the Buffalo / Rochester area that fall into any of the categories listed above … this is where you and the internet come into play. My hope is that someone reading this blog says, “Hey, I’m a [pick something appropriate from the list above] and I would love to have my picture taken!” or “Hey, my [sister, friend, 3rd cousin, etc.] is a [pick something from the list above] and they would love a portrait session!”. If you’re interested or know of someone that is interested, please contact me and we can set up a meeting to discuss ideas, dates, and times. You can send me an e-mail here or contact me through one of these sites:
